Aiken – Mrs. Helen Hodge Culbreath, 91, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Dr. Chris Masters officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Millbrook Sunshine Ladies Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Culbreath was born in Giles County, TN, a daughter of the late Charles R. and Effie Jones Hodge. She moved to Aiken in 1952, and worked as a Ward Clerk for Aiken Hospital. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, a member of the Sunshine Ladies Sunday School Class, and a member of the Good Sams Camping Club. Mrs. Culbreath, a loving mother and grandmother, has joined her sweetheart and love of her life, the late James Robert Culbreath.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Culbreath, North Augusta, Glenda (Dr. Frampton, Jr.) Henderson, Columbia; two sons, Robert L. (Kathy) Culbreath, Appling, GA, J. Randy Culbreath, Aiken; four grandchildren, Johnny (Michele) Culbreath, Frampton W. Henderson, III, James Alan (Charlotte) Henderson, Daniel Sullivan Henderson; great grandchild, Caroline Culbreath; caregivers, Sharonda and Samuella Williams.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Robbie Culbreath, and a brother, Carl L. Hodge.
