Frances Dudley

AIKEN - Frances Dudley died peacefully at Eden Gardens in Aiken, SC on November 14, 2008. Frances was born in Thomasville, Georgia on July 7, 1914. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin G. Dudley of Greenville SC where she resided until 1969. Ms. Dudley was co-founder of The Snail¹s Pace, A Christian Retreat Center, in Saluda NC and managed it until 1997. She is preceded in death by her niece Frances Dudley Meyer in 2004 and her brother Charles Bondurant Dudley in 2007. Surviving are two nieces, Bonnie Dudley Dodson and Ann Dudley Holley, and a nephew, Martin G. Dudley, II. Also surviving are three great nieces, five great nephews, and first cousins, Louis Bondurant, Richard Bondurant, and Mary Bondurant Scurry. A private memorial service will be held in Saluda.
