Doris Livingston Stone

AIKEN – Mrs. Doris Livingston Stone, 75, died Saturday, November 22, 208 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday in the Millbrook Baptist Church Chapel. Reverend Dr. Eddie Leopard will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Newberry. Pallbearers will be Dick Hunt, Bob Daniels, Raymond Roseberry, Harry Harmon, Billy Hyde, Wallace Bland, Rev. Carlos Corea. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Millbrook Chapel Sunday School Class. Mrs. Stone was born in Newberry County, a daughter of the late James Patrick and Adelaide Swaim Livingston. She was a homemaker and resident of Aiken since 1951. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, and worked in the church library for 35 years. She was also a Master Gardener, a member of the Cereus Garden Club for 15 years, and a member of the SC Gardeners. Survivors include her beloved husband, Virgil M. Stone; two sons, Dale Leonard (Pam) Stone, Lavonia, GA, Vance Nolan Stone, Columbia; two grandchildren, Melissa and Heather Stone; two sisters, Gaynelle Domarecki, Bayonet Pointe, FL, Betty Sharpe, Huddlestone, VA; a niece, Sandra Cardinale. In addition to her parents, a sister, June Schwartz, and a brother, James Patrick Livingston, Jr., preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Millbrook Baptist Church Building Fund, 176 E. Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
