Marianne Gregory Harden

AIKEN, SC – MARIANNE G. HARDEN, 73, beloved wife of James A. “Jim” Harden, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of LaGrange, GA, Marianne was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ann Mobley Gregory. She lived most of her teens and early 20’s in Burlington, NC and was a graduate of Burlington High School and attended Elon University. Marianne had lived in Aiken since 1974 and was a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker until her children entered middle and high school and then started her career at Security Federal Bank, first as a receptionist and advancing as a loan officer and assistant vice president. She loved taking care of her family and home, as well as traveling and taking cruises. She was much loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed. Survivors, in addition to her husband of 50 years, Jim, include a daughter, Kathy Harden Moseley (Ron); a son, James A. “Jimmy” Harden, Jr. (Susan) and three grandsons, Devan Harden, Noah Moseley and Ryan Moseley, all of Aiken. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Christopher Crotwell officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Halupa, Greg Richardson, Robbie Richardson, Ron Moseley, Chris DeVore, Don Lucas, Bobby Burch and Mark Beachum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. The family expresses their appreciation to the doctors and staff of Aiken Regional Medical Centers for the love and great medical care Marianne received.
