Aiken-Mrs. Nancy Charlotte Hurlbut Stetler 87, beloved wife of Alfred Miles Stetler died Wednesday, November 26,, 2008.
Mrs. Stetler was born in Columbus, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Harold Davie and Merry Hurlbut. She made Aiken her home in 1985. In addition to being a loving wife and mother Mrs. Stetler was a homemaker, a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and a volunteer with ACTS where she touched many lives.
She is survived by her husband Alfred Miles Stetler, a daughter Merry Ann (Robert) Rothe, Kerrville, TX, a son Peter (Alexandra) Stetler, St. Marys, GA, four grandchildren Christopher Rothe, Jennifer Marr, Veronica Stetler, and Blake Stetler, four great grandchildren Anna Rothe, Andrew Rothe, Charlotte Marr, and Ethan Marr, and a brother Harold Davie Hurlbut, Kilmarnock, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at St. John’s United Methodist Church. Rev. Dr. George K. Howle will officiate. Internment will be at a later date in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC.
