AIKEN, SC – CORRINE McCOY SEYMOUR, 86, widow of William H. Seymour, died suddenly, Thursday morning, February 5, 2015 at her residence.
A native of Greenwood, SC, Corrine was a daughter of the late Clinton Eugene and Viola Mae Dominick McCoy. She had lived in Aiken since 1953. She was a retired nurse, having worked at Aiken County Hospital and Mattie C. Hall Nursing Home, and was former administrator at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Sparta, GA. Corrine was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women and Susanne Wesley Circle.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Montjoy Howell, Windsor, SC; grandson, James Arthur Locklair, Windsor, SC; great-granddaughter, Abigail Locklair, Great-grandson, Austin Locklair; three sisters, Mary Donn and Elvena Larkin, both of Greenwood, SC, Florie Graham (Charles), Greensboro, NC; a brother, Rev. Dr. Franklin Dewitt McCoy (Bennie), Abbeville, SC; extended family, Diane Howard (Billy), Aiken, SC, Judy Rogers, Columbia, SC, David Parker (Elizabeth), Columbia, SC Cameron Parker, Columbia, SC, Logan Parker, Columbia, SC and Allison Mayes (Vernon), Richmond, VA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Corrine was preceded in death by a son, George Williams Montjoy, Jr.; a daughter, Myra Elaine Montjoy; brothers, Ralph McCoy and Frederick Eugene McCoy.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 until 7 o’clock in the evening at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Trinity United Methodist Church with The Revs. Dr. Larry Parker and Donnie Bates officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Donn, Robert Larkins, Franklin McCoy, George McCoy, Ben McCoy, Matthew McCoy and Chuck Graham.
