Henry "Hank" Ford

AIKEN - Henry (Hank) Ford, 87, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015. He was born and raised in Durango, CO. Hank was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack. He is survived by wife of 65 years, Donna; daughters Jackie (Greg) Goodlund and Connie (Bob Power) Ford; grandsons David, Kevin, Lucas and Caleb; sister Thelma; nieces Darlene and Beverly; and a veritable host of friends. The family extends our love and gratitude to Amy Hane and welcomes her as the Aiken daughter. After graduating from the University of Montana, Hank worked for Colgate-Palmolive Company for 31 years and retired to Aiken in 1984. He enjoyed a full retirement life of golf, teaching water aerobics, volunteering at the library and the Council on Aging, and befriending those around him. He enthusiastically organized the Bionic Golf Tournament for many years. A Celebration of Hank’s Life will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2724 Whiskey Rd. on Monday, February 16 at 11:00 am. A Lunch reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Friends of Aiken Library - Aiken Public Library, 314 Chesterfield St. SW, Aiken SC 29801.
