AIKEN, SC – BRENDA JOYCE COCHRAN WORSHAM, 69, widow of Bobby Ray Worsham, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. A native of Trion, GA, Brenda was a daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Stewart Cochran. She grew up in Trion and lived in Cross Lanes, WV prior to moving to Aiken in 2001. Brenda was a court reporter with the Social Security Administration and continued to work part-time after her retirement. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken, and was formerly active with the CSRA Shag Club. Brenda’s great joys in life were her grandchildren and friends. She loved to travel with friends and was recently able to fulfill a life-long dream of taking a trip to Hawaii with her children. Her love of life was apparent in everything she did, as was her ability to make a friend out of a stranger. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by many. Survivors include her two children, Jennifer Worsham Goff (Stefan), Hurricane, WV, Christopher Ray Worsham (Ahronn), Roswell, GA; four grandchildren, Ryan Goff, Madison Goff, Jack Worsham, Lilly Worsham; a sister, Sue Finister (Terry), Aiken. In addition to her husband and parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Buckalew (Dick). A visitation will be held at 3PM at Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home on Monday, March 02, 2015 followed by the funeral service at 4 PM. Interment will follow Tuesday afternoon at 2 PM in New Hope South Baptist Church Cemetery, Lyerly, GA.
