Kenneth Eugene Keaton

AIKEN – Mr. Kenneth Eugene Keaton, 77, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM, and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 10 in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel. The Reverend Dr. Chris Masters will officiate. Interment will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mr. Keaton’s grandchildren. Kenneth was born in Ross County, OH, a son of the late Reverend Sturgill and Leona Blanton Keaton. A US Air Force veteran and resident of Aiken for over 50 years, he was a shipping manager for Kimberly-Clark, and attended Millbrook Baptist Church. Kenneth was a loving husband, father and grandfather that enjoyed working in his yard. Mr. Keaton is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia Sango Keaton; two daughters, Christine (Perry) Deese, Aiken, Leona (Glenn) Asbill, Aiken; a son, Kenneth Eugene (Paula) Keaton, Jr., Aiken; grandchildren, Joshua Keaton, Darrell Keaton, Derek Deese, Scott Deese, Zac Deese, Brant Deese, and Lindsey Asbill; great grandchildren, Dawson Deese and Skylar Keaton; sisters, Carol Walls and Helen Smart of Ohio.
