Florence Hughes Franklin

AIKEN – Florence Hughes Franklin, 57, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Jennings officiating. Being a lifelong resident of North Augusta and Aiken, Florence was born to the late John Richard and Angeline Little Hughes. She graduated from USCA with a BS in Nursing and worked as a registered nurse. Florence was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. She will be remembered as wonderful caregiver, always putting the needs of others first. Florence was a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend She is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Daniel) Kersbergen, Greenville, SC; a son, Alex Franklin; two grandchildren, Brynn and Natalie Kersbergen; sisters, Angela (Steve) Hales, Aiken, Debra (Johnny) Kurilla, North Augusta, SC; a niece Dara Hales and two nephews, Connor Grantham and Michael Kurilla.
