AIKEN, SC – JUDY LANE JORDAN, 70, widow of Lonnie Jerry Jordan, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at her residence. A native of Conway, SC, Judy was a daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Causey Franks. She had lived in Aiken since 1964 and was a homemaker. Beautiful inside and out, Judy had a sweet gentle spirit, was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and was a true light in this world. Judy never met a stranger and was always gracious and kind even throughout her battle with cancer. She was a member of Cedar Creek Church. During Judy’s illness she looked forward to receiving notes of encouragement and support from The Angel Network and special gift bags donated by The Lydia Project. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Placr (Peter), Murray, KY, Michele Rogers (Derek), Aiken; four sons, Jerry L. Jordan (Siobhan), Jeffrey Jordan (Michelle, Anthony L. Jordan (April), Dr. Philip R. Jordan (Diana), all of Aiken; fifteen grandchildren, Savannah, Simon and Caroline Placr, Easton and Lyla Rogers, Briana Hayes, Benjamin and Logan Jordan, Caitlyn, Devin, Brynna and Ravin Jordan, Hunter and Coleman Jordan, Luna Jordan; four great-grandchildren, Destiny and Scarlett Hayes, Paxton and Kaden Jordan; two sisters and a brother. In addition to her husband and parents, Judy was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Kearstin Jordan and a sister. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. A Celebration of Judy’s Life will take place Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Cedar Creek Church, Banks Mill Campus with The Rev. Phillip Lee officiating.
