AIKEN - Mr. Jim L. Fuller, 84, has gone to live eternally in heaven with his beloved wife Pat in that house not made with hands Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
Jim’s celebration of life will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2094 Columbia Hwy N, Aiken, SC 29805, with Pastor Eric Kincaid officiating.
Jim was born in Bloomington, Illinois, son of the late Swede and Mellie Fuller. He was a 1949 graduate of Farmer City/Moore High School and attended Michigan State University. Jim married Patricia Nowlin on August 7th, 1954 in Farmer City, Illinois. He was co-owner of Fuller Implement Dealership before moving to Miami, Florida in 1960 where he was a State Farm agent for 33 years. He and Pat retired to Bonita Springs, Florida where they lived until they came to Aiken, South Carolina in 2005. Jim was a 32nd degree Shrine Mason and a member of the Aiken Horsepower Association. He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all. He was a kind, thoughtful and giving man with a sense of humor that people will always remember. He was best known for his museum of classic cars and antiques.
Survivors include daughter, Margaret (Tom) Thornburg, Pueblo, CO; sons, Mac (Debbie) Fuller, Dallas, TX., Jim (Donna) Fuller, Jr., Sunrise, FL.; grandchildren, Justin (Yvonne) Thornburg, Jennica (Brandon) Clasby, Amanda (Anthony) Capablo, Riley Fuller, Keaton Fuller, Michelle Marrero; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Caple, Brooklyn Clasby, Jaxon Clasby, Aiden Capalbo, Austin Capalbo, Adam Capalbo, Joseph Capalbo, Monique Franklin, DJ Franklin; sisters Jean Smith, Virginia Mitchell, and his brother, the late Jack Fuller along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Aiken Regional Medical Center for their excellent care and kindness shown to Jim and his family.
