Kathleen Herndon Regal

AIKEN – Mrs. Kathleen Herndon Regal, 79, died Friday, December 19, 2008. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Final prayers and commendations will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens, Newberry, SC Mrs. Regal was born in Walterboro, SC, a daughter of the late Willie Harley and Bessie Stevenson Herndon. She was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Columbia, and of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Chapin. She was a resident of Aiken for the last year and a half. Survivors include her daughter, Carleen R. (Curt) Sexton, Aiken; her sons, Carl M. (Patricia) Regal, Asheboro, NC, Edward M. Regal, Prosperity, SC, Timothy H. (Lorraine) Regal, Plaistow, NH; grandchildren Will Sexton, Joelle Regal, Jason Regal, Justin Regal, Josh Regal, Christopher Regal, Ryan Regal, Christina Payne, Sean Hickey; great grandchildren, Reagan Regal, Patrick Regal, Nicole Payne and Jonathan Payne. In addition to her parents, her husband, Carl Marion Regal, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Dr., Suite 205, Columbia, SC 29204.
