Charles H. Marvin, III

AIKEN – Mr. Charles H. Marvin, III, 66, died December 28, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Am Wednesday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be held prior to the funeral service in Bethany Cemetery. Reverend Dr. Fred Andrea III will officiate. Mr. Marvin was a lifelong resident of Aiken. He was a banker, a former member of the Aiken Businessmen’s Club, Palmetto Golf Club and Midland Valley Country Club. Survivors include his fiancée, Gail Sharpe, Anderson, SC; three sons, Bruce M. Marvin, Lexington, Charles H. “Chip” (Cheryl) Marvin, IV, Aiken, James F. “Jim” (Olivia) Marvin, N. Augusta; five grandchildren, Patrick, Carolyn, Juliann, Sarah and Brandt Marvin; two sisters, Beth Marvin (Raleigh) Daniel, Aiken, Cissy T. (James) Bankhead, Amarillo, TX; three brothers, James C. (Margaret) Marvin, Aiken, Steve E. (Ann) Talbert, Aiken, Greg P. Marvin, Monetta. Mr. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Marvin, Jr., Elizabeth McNair Marvin, Carolyn P. Marvin.
