Harold Heath

February 15, 1937 — April 25, 2015

HARLEM, GA - On the evening of April 25, 2015, Harold Heath entered into eternal peace worshipping his loving Savior surrounded by the comfort of his family. Harold was 78 years old and lived in Harlem, GA. Harold was born on February 15, 1937 in Aiken, SC to the late Geddings and Sarah Heath. Harold was a graduate of Southgate Bible College. He was formerly a pastor at the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Aiken, SC. He owned and operated Heath Pipeline Construction Company. He loved hunting, farming, fishing, being around his family and taking care of all of his animals. He loved barbequing at the Ham and Jam festivals. One of Harold’s favorite pastimes was taking his family on day trips to Hunting Island, SC to go crabbing. Harold is preceded in death by Geddings (father) and Sarah (mother) Heath and also his brother and sister-in-law Phillip and Peggy Heath. Harold is survived by one brother Carrol (Harriet) Heath; three daughters, Patricia and the late Larry Ledford of New Ellenton, SC, Debra (Billy) Owen of Jackson, SC; Christine (Michael) McManus of North Augusta, SC; one son Randy (Barbara) Heath of Aiken, SC . Also survived by eight grandchildren: Chad (Gail) Heath, Shaun (Bridget) Heath, Jonathan (Jenna) Ledford, Adam (Chado) Ledford, Will (Mandy) Owen, Jessica (Patrick) McGee, Tabitha (Matt) Siegler, Samantha McManus. Eleven great-grandchildren; Ricki (Holden) Bufford, Hailey Heath, Christopher Heath, Evan Ledford, Heath McGee, Liam McGee, Addison Lewis, Maggie Lewis, Chloe Siegler, Mercedes Steele and Brandy (Michael) Pennington. Memorial contributions may be directed to Rising Hope Baptist Church, P.O. Box 7641, New Ellenton, SC 29809. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Arant, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Chime Bell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his 5 grandsons; honorary Pallbearers will be his 3 granddaughters.
