Mary Posey Grice

Aiken, SC - Answered God’s call and entered into eternal rest on May 9, 2015. Mrs. Mary Posey Grice, 86, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late William Hastings Grice. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Gladys Hewitt Posey. She was born and reared in Aiken County. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Grice (Weldon) Wyatt, Graniteville, SC; three grandchildren, Ashley Wyatt (Keith) McDonald, Thomas (Leslie) Wyatt and Lauren Wertz; seven great grandchildren, Hanna Wertz, Wels Donaldson, Mary Bren Donaldson, Wyatt Donaldson, John Donaldson, Grice Wyatt and Leighton Wyatt; sister, Nell Medlock, Warrenville, SC., daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Rudnick Grice. Besides her husband of sixty-five years, she was preceded in death by a son William Hastings Grice, Jr. She was a co-owner of Grice’s Butcher Shop and worked with her husband for fifty-one years. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Aiken, member of Truth Seekers Sunday School Class and member of Prayer Partner of Dr. Charles Stanley of In Touch Ministries. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, at 2:00 PM at Aiken First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Fred Andera, III officiating. Interment will follow at Historic Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Zachmann, David Butler, Ted Groomes, Woodrow Sweeney and Charles Hightower. Honorary pallbearers will be Truth Seekers Sunday School Class.
