AIKEN, SC – JASON WARNER RANSON, 41, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his residence.
A native and life-long resident of Aiken County, Jason was a son of Clifford and Alice Johnson Ranson. He graduated from South Aiken High School and was an industrial mechanic with Shaw Industries. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, North Augusta Ward.
Survivors, in addition to his parents of Aiken, include a daughter, Marley W. Ranson; two sons, Cole W. Ranson and Mason J. Ranson, all of North Augusta; three sisters, Audrey Waldrop (Mark), Newberry, SC, Kippen Wilhoit (David), Aiken, Holley Howell (James), Blackstock, SC; two brothers, Jared W. Ranson, Aiken and Wendel C. Ranson (Lauren), Edgefield; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, 358 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken. Bishop Neal Askew is to officiate. Interment will follow in the historic Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Bowen, James Howell, David Wilhoit, Jared Ranson, Wendel Ranson and Mark Waldrop.
