AIKEN – Mr. Robert L. Hatfield, 87, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 30 at Trinity United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Dr. Larry Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hatfield was born in Logan County, WV, a son of the late Robert L. Chambers and Elsie M. Hatfield. He moved to Aiken 20 years ago from Maryland, and was a former assembly line worker for the Chrysler Corporation. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was very active in the church.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Eleanor Cox Hatfield; a daughter, Barbara (Paul) Crawford, Elkton, MD; three grandchildren, R. Jason Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, LeeAnna (Ryan) Fullis; four great grandchildren, Rylea Crawford, Chace Crawford, Madelyn Fullis, and Bailee Fullis; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Eloise Grimmett, and a brother, Ronald C. Hatfield.
