Herman Harden

WINDSOR – Mr. Herman Harden, 79, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend David Richardson officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Harden Family Cemetery. Mr. Harden was born in Barnwell County, SC, a son of the late George H. and Cora Lee Ferguson Harden. He served in the US Army, and served over 30 years in law enforcement with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals Service. He was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, and also the South Carolina Troopers Association. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that loved gardening and fishing. Survivors include a daughter, Sherry (Ronnie) Rawls, Windsor; son, Phillip (Karen) Harden, Silverdale, WA; step daughter, Andrea (Bobby) Brewer, Saluda; seven grandchildren, Jen Kaufmann, Jon Harden, Mary Jo Byrd, Buddy Brewer, Mary Padgett, Jeffrey Brewer, Jordan Rawls; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Vernon (Carol) Harden, Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at SHELLHOUSE-RIVERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 715 E.
