Brian Griswald Congreve

WARRENVILLE, SC - Mr. Brian Griswald Congreve, 76, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2015, with a funeral service to begin at 4:00 PM in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be held at a later date in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Mr. Congreve was born in Queens, NY, a son of the late Madeleine Laufe Congreve. He was a graduate of the Julliard School of the Arts and Adelphi University, served in the US Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and was a Salesman for Burma Castro Oil Company. Brian was an avid musician and a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Robertson Congreve; two daughters, Jean Lynn Congreve, Holbrook, NY, Jacalyn Diane (Randy) Bailey, Aiken; a son, Brian John (Bonnie) Congreve, Harrisville, UT; four grandchildren, Emily Marie Ludwig, Randy Lucky Bailey, Madeleine E. Bailey, Annie Jewel Bailey.
