Dorothy Chalker Hathcox

AUGUSTA, GA – DOROTHY CHALKER HATHCOX, 85, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at her residence. A native of Emmanuel County, GA, Dorothy was a daughter of the late John Franklin and Annie Perkins Chalker. She lived in Augusta, GA for many years and retired from King Mill in 1992. She moved to Langley in 1992 and lived there until 2003 when she returned to Augusta to live with her daughter. Survivors include three daughters, Sue Stacy, Thompson, GA, Vickie Miles, Augusta, Deidre Hathcox, Langley; a son, Wallace Hathcox, Denver, CO; 10 Grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, GA. Pallbearers will be Brandon Frazier, Brian Hanson, Jon Mikel Degone, Jacob Jones, Josh Merritt and Steven Bishop.
