NEW ELLENTON, SC – ELIZABETH HEATH “LIBBY” SHUFORD, 74, beloved wife of James E. Shuford, died Saturday evening, June 20, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A native and life-long resident of Aiken, Libby was a daughter of the late Harry H. and Ruth Richardson Heath. She was a bookkeeper and retired from Wyatt Development. She was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, James; her daughter, Terry Cannon (Steve), Aiken; two brothers, Albert H. Heath (Donna), Alcolu, SC; Gene Heath (Terry), North Augusta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward “Jake” Heath.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock at Town Creek Baptist Church with The Revs. Clint Smith, Don Lemon and Jim Osteen officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Floyd, Al Cubbage, Chuck Lengyel, Eddie Carter, Kent Shuford and Bernard Rowland.
