New Ellenton, SC – DAVID “TODD” STRAIT, 63, beloved husband of Nancy Van Linburgh Strait, Born April 19, 1952, died Sunday, June 28, 2015. He entered into rest at his residence peacefully with his beloved wife Nancy by his side. David was born in El Paso, TX, a son of the late Kenneth Mortimer Strait and Marjorie Gladys Siemens. David worked as a supervisor for environmental health and safety for SRS in Aiken, his last place of employment. Survivors include his beloved wife, Nancy VanLindburgh Strait; a daughter, Rebecca Strait (Rob) Kinney of Roseville, CA, a son, Todd (Mika) Strait of Antelope, CA; two brothers, Andrew Strait (Andy) of Fairbanks, AK, Donald Strait of Sylvania OH; 5 Grandchildren, Hayden Kinney, Addison Kinney, Taylor Strait, Kierra Strait, Larsyn, and many other close friends and family in the U.S. and Canada. He was loved by too many to mention. David’s favorite pass time was spending time with his wife Nancy and Dog Lady. He had a great sense of humor, always the life of the party, loved fishing, and spending time with his Children and Grandchildren. He was the protector of his twin brother Don, Don recalled. All three brothers made a trip to Alaska together in recent years. David visited all of his grandchildren and children in California in April of this year. All will dearly miss him. Services will be private.
