Susan Jane Reid Terry

Aiken- Susan Jane Reid Terry, 57, completed her journey on this earth Wednesday, July 22, 2015. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Johns United Methodist Church. Susan was born in Greenville, SC, a daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth Thomason Reid. She had been a resident of Aiken since 2006, and was a member of St. Johns Church. She was a loving wife and mother, a friend to all who knew her, a lover of animals and a source of comfort for all those she found in need. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Robert Cooper Terry; two daughters, Jennifer Terry of Charleston, SC, Lindsey Terry of Concord, NC; a sister, Shirley Edwards of Greenville, SC; a brother, Mark Reid of Travelers Rest, SC; and many beloved nieces and nephews and cherished friends. Susan had many talents. She was a gourmet cook, and cared for all creatures with the skill of a veterinarian. She saw only the good in people and never said an unkind word. She forgave easily and loved deeply. She shared her beauty with so many others, both great and small. We will all miss the beautiful spirit that she has taken with her but will always cherish the love that she shared with all who knew her. It is her memory that will sustain us. No picture could show her true beauty; No adverb can describe how she loved; No words can console those who loved her.
