Rachel A. Moyer

AIKEN, SC – RACHEL GORDON MOYER, 71, died Friday, July 31, 2015 at Anchor Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Clearwater, SC, Rachel was a daughter of the late James L. and Bertie Mae Smith Gordon.  She lived in Aiken County her entire life and retired from Kimberly-Clark.  She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Hembree (Jeremy), Aiken; three grandchildren, Andrew “Tre” Moyer, Aiden Hembree and Audrey Hembree; two sisters, Audrey Wheat (Harry), North Port, FL and Martha Courtney, Aiken.  She was preceded in death by her son, C. Andrew Moyer and a brother, Paul Gordon. A memorial service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Robert Harris officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.
