Norman Lewis O'Neal

NEW ELLENTON, SC – NORMAN LEWIS O’NEAL, 69, beloved husband of Patricia O’Neal, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at his residence. A native of Durham, NC, Mr. O’Neal was a son of the late Robert Lewis and Dorothy Elizabeth Draper O’Neal. He had lived in New Ellenton since 1983 and was an electrician. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, IBEW Local 553 in Raleigh – Durham, NC. He was an avid bowler and was a member of Social Mixers Bowling League. Norman was a wonderful and loving husband and a special pal to his three dogs, Fargo, Sadie and Prixie. Trust your angels to guide your steps – trust your feet to follow. Survivors, in addition to his wife Patricia, include a daughter, Sandra Louise Butler, Roanoke, VA, a son, Norman Lewis O’Neal, Jr., Roanoke, VA, two granddaughters, Lauren and Brooke Butler, a sister, Becky Vanderslice, Newark, DE and a brother, Walter O’Neal, Largo, FL. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC, with Rev. Brian Gilmer officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
