JoAnne S. Moore

NEW ELLENTON, SC – JoAnne Steed Moore, 82, widow of Ralph Edward Moore, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born August 23, 1932 in Jackson, SC, JoAnne was a daughter of the late Johnnie Ellis and Susie Tankersley Steed.  She was a lifelong resident of Aiken County and was a retired secretary from the Department of Energy at the Savannah River Plant.  JoAnne was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Ellenton. Survivors include two sons, Michael E. Moore and his wife Kathy Jo of Clemson and Philip S. Moore and his wife Kathy Bess of New Ellenton; four grandchildren, Allan Moore, Matthew Moore and his wife Catherine, Andrew Moore and his wife Laura, and Jessica Gustafson and her husband, Cale; two great-grandchildren, Logan Moore and Max Moore; a brother, Harold Steed and his wife Mary of Clemson.  In addition to her husband and parents, JoAnne was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Parrish, Margaret Hargrove and Doris Franklin. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock at St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Ellenton with The Rev. Robert Reeves officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Matthew Moore, Andrew Moore, Allan Moore, Jessica Gustafson, Cale Gustafson and Joe Eubanks.
