Aiken, S.C.-Ms. Harriet Celeste Toole died on Monday, September 14, 2015.
She was born on September 18, 1956, in Aiken, South Carolina, to Frampton Wyman Toole, Jr., and Betty McLure Toole. She was a longtime resident of Atlanta, Georgia.
She is survived by her brother, Frampton Wyman Toole, III, and her nephew, Frampton Wyman Toole, IV, both of Aiken, South Carolina.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Her early education consisted of attending Mead Hall Episcopal School in Aiken, South Carolina, and then Ashley Hall in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.A. degree in history. She was also a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a M.B.A. degree.
She worked for many years in the computer industry as a software maintenance expert. She was retired at the time of her death.
She was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed following the University of South Carolina athletic teams as well as the Atlanta Falcons football team and the Atlanta Hawks basketball team.
Her hobbies included playing bridge and cooking.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at historic Bethany Cemetery in Aiken, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Frampton W. Toole, Jr. Chancellor’s Innovation Fund at USC-Aiken, to the Betty M. Toole History Scholarship Endowment at USC-Aiken, 471 University Pkwy, Aiken, SC 29801 or to a charity of choice.
