Teresa Wells Reeve

AIKEN - Teresa Wells Reeve, 66, of Aiken died peacefully on September 19 in Billings, Montana. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Peter Reeve, a son, Jeffrey Wells Reeve of Acworth, Georgia, a daughter, Julie Catherine VanderPloeg of Shell, Wyoming, a brother, Frederic McKinney Wells of Huntsville, Alabama, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy David Reeve, and by her parents, Frederic Evans Wells and Maureen McKinney Wells of Huntsville. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Teresa lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland for 21 years before moving to Aiken in 1990. She worked as receptionist for Aiken Internal Medicine before retiring in 2002. She was a member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church. She was a member of Masterworks Chorale for several years and participated in the Christ Central mentoring program. Beyond the responsibilities to her family, her greatest joys in life were Bible study, singing in choirs, listening to Christian music, reading, and caring for young children.
