AIKEN - Jane Hatfield Flanders, 85, died Feb. 21, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Montmorenci First Baptist Church. Revered Gary Youell will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Montmorenci Fire Department. Mrs. Flanders was born in Norma, TN, a daughter of the late Ulysses and Mabel Pennington Hatfield. She moved to Aiken in 1952 and was a member of Montmorenci First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Montmorenci Fire Department Survivors include her daughter, Jane Pennington (Charles) Lowery, Dallas, TX; two sons, Kenneth Lydell Flanders, Jr., Aiken, Timothy William Flanders, Aiken; grandchildren, Angela Cunningham, Kasey Ewing, Breanne Vasquez, Karen Corontzes; great grandchildren, McKenzie, Greyson, Cas, and Malia Cunningham, Drew and Jackson Ewing, Isabel Vasquez, Ella and Seth Corontzes; and a brother, Archie Jeffers, Dayton, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lydell Flanders, Sr. Memorials may be directed to Montmorenci First Baptist Church, 44 Old Barnwell Road, Montmorenci, SC 29839.
