Joan Blondell Cochran

AIKEN – Mrs. Joan Blondell McFee Cochran, 71, died February 28, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital, Augusta, GA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday March 3 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brian Adkinson will officiate. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM in Mt. Ebeal Baptist Church Cemetery, Batesburg, SC, with Rev. William Paulling officiating. Pallbearers will be Travis Cochran, Lawrence Ingram, Johnny Woodward, Bubba Mason, Pee Wee Atkinson, Tim Shealy. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Moore and Keith Leaphart. Mrs. Cochran was born in Batesburg, a daughter of the late Johnny and Annie McFee. She was a homemaker and resident of Aiken for the last 50 years. Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Jean (Dennis) Woodward, Aiken, Linda Faye (Jerry) Thornton, Aiken; daughter –in-law, Gail Cochran, Aiken; eleven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Rosalee Moore, Charleston, Maybell (Shine) Risinger, Charleston, Frances (Michael) Mothkovich, Aiken, Juanita McFee, Aiken. Her husband, John Oscar Cochran; sons, Grady Wayne Cochran and Richard Cochran; and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
