AIKEN, SC - William M. Brown, Jr. "Bill" passed from his human form into God's arms at his home in Aiken, South Carolina on October 26th, 2015.
He was the son of William Brown and Alice (Bolam) Brown of Houtzdale, Pennsylvania where he was born on March 9th, 1927. Bill was a graduate of Penn State where he met his devoted wife of 63 years Donna (Norris) Brown. He loved his wife, his girls, his extended family and friends and the game of golf. Bill played golf at Samuel Park (Tennyson) in Dallas for years and had many friends there as well as at Cedar Creek in Aiken. One of his proudest achievements was making "7" Holes-In-One over the course of his lifetime. He was inducted into the Clearfield County Regional Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. Bill loved making people laugh and even during his illness maintained a positive mental attitude. His signature gesture was "thumbs up". Bill is survived by his wife, Donna, his daughters Robin and her love Paul DeGroot, Lee Ann and her husband Kevin Ray and their boys Brian Ray, his fiancé Dianna Endicott and Chris Ray and his wife Allison, also his sister Jean Adam and her husband George and their girls Bonnie, Peg and Jane. Bill's brother Dale passed when he was 16 years old and his daughter Sandy (Brown) Davis passed into Heaven's Gates in 2011. Services will be Saturday October 31st at 12:00 noon at Cedar Creek Church, Banks Mill Campus in Aiken.
