AIKEN, SC – ANN HENDERSON STOCKMAN, 77, formerly of Greenwood, SC and the widow of John I. Stockman, died Friday, April 03, 2009 at her residence in Aiken.
A native of Greenwood County, SC, Mrs. Stockman was a daughter of the late Louie E. and Effie Shaw Henderson. She lived part of her life in Greenville, SC before she and her husband retired back to Lake Greenwood, where she stayed until moving to Aiken last August to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a former volunteer with the Cross Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jack Sayers of Aiken, her grandson, Sean M. O’Cain of Greenwood and her much loved poodle, Princes Snow Nicole. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death and her brother, Herbert F. Henderson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 25th at 3:00 PM at Harley Funeral Home, 1025 South Main St., Greenwood, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at Montague’s, 115 Hampton St., Greenwood.
