Lorie Thompson Parker

AIKEN – Mrs. Lorie Thompson Parker, 81, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 11, 2015 in Aiken Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Taylor Wells officiating. Mrs. Parker, a daughter of the late Van Buren and Maggie Fulmer Thompson, was a lifelong resident of Aiken, and member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Vickey (Pete) Soper, Batesburg, Darlene (Tommy) Johnson, Aiken; son, Ted (Donna) Parker, Aiken; grandchildren, Brad Soper, Kim Pack, Shannon Parker, Jessica Hammett, Patrick Johnson, Phillip Johnson; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Nardone, Wilkes Barre, PA, Pauline Moseley, Aiken, Margie Owens, Aiken; sister in law, Dot Thompson, West Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Reuben Parker, a brother, George Thompson, and a sister, Lib Thompson.
