Helen Meeks Smith Lopez

AIKEN – Mrs. Helen Meeks Smith Lopez, 97, widow of the late Geronimo Lopez, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Mrs. Lopez was born in Iola, IL to the late Alfred and Lucy Moore Meeks. She spent her career working as a nutritionist. Mrs. Lopez moved to Aiken in 2005 and was a member of Warrenville First Baptist Church. She is survived by Daughter in law, Nancy Smith, Aiken, three grandchildren, Tonya Yetter (Jeff), Cincinnati, OH, Belinda Smith, Aiken, Vince Smith (Cindy), Aiken; seven great grandchildren, Chad Smith (Meredith), Bryan Smith (Taylor), Bobby Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Bretlyn Yetter, Victoria Yetter, Alexandria Yetter and four great great grandchildren In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her son, Alfred M.
