Polly Ann Byrd Green

NEW ELLENTON, SC – POLLY ANN BYRD GREEN, 88, widow of Lonas Green, died Wednesday, January 06, 2016 at her residence. A native of Bryson City, NC, Polly was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Nancy Lewellyn Monteith Byrd. She lived in Aiken County since the early 1950’s and was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church. She loved camping with her late husband. Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Kidd (Benny), Aiken, Sharon Yazzie (Raye), North Augusta and Jan Edwards (Jim), Leasburg, NC; a son, Jim Gouge (Pat), Asheboro, NC; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home in Aiken. The funeral service will be Saturday morning at 11 o’clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Richard Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Kidd, Brian Edwards, Chris Edwards, Chip Vickers, Steven Vickers, Greg Yazzie and Johnny Thomas.
