AIKEN - Mrs. Gladys J. Workman, 79, the beloved wife of the late Rev. Franklin L. Workman, Sr., died Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Hitchcock Place Assisted Living Facility in Aiken, SC. A native of Bancroft, WV, Gladys was a daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys Booth Brown. She lived most her life in West Virginia and retired from H & R Block in Nitro, WV. Mrs. Workman played the piano at the Kanawha Valley Baptist Church for 20 years prior to moving to North Myrtle Beach and had lived in Aiken since 2013. Survivors include a son, Franklin L. (Sheri) Workman, Jr.; two grandsons, Franklin L. Workman III and William B. Workman, all of Aiken. She is also survived by many loved ones and friends. In addition to her husband, Franklin and parents, Gladys was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy and three brothers, Thomas Jr., Charles and James of WV.
