Sabra was the widow of Edwin "Tink" Sanders. She was born February 9, 1921, to Davis and Florrie Toole of the Talatha Community.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dave and Billy Toole.

She was retired from Aiken Electric Coop and had previously been the City Clerk of New Ellenton in the early 50's.
When the plan to build the Savannah River Plant was announced in late 1950, Sabra and her husband, Lawrence, owned two farms in the plant area. In early 1951, they were the first family to buy property and move a house to what is now New Ellenton. They built a service station, trailer park, and several pieces of rental property to serve the workers arriving to build the plant. Sabra Avenue in New Ellenton is named after her. Lawrence became the town's first mayor when it was incorporated in 1952.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday afternoon, February 2nd at 1 o’clock at Bethany Cemetery with Pastor Brantley Bryan officiating. The family will meet with friends after the service at the graveside.
