AIKEN, SC – NANCY JEAN LOGAN OLSON, 82, beloved wife of William C. Olson, died Thursday, February 04, 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Omaha, NE, Nancy was a daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Allen Logan. She and Bill moved to Aiken in 2004 after many years in Dunwoody, GA, near Atlanta. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. Nancy was a member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church where she was very active in the ladies groups. She was currently a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Aiken where she was also active until her health declined. Surviving, in addition to her husband Bill, include two daughters, Karen Jean Hedin, Atlanta, GA, Sally Ann Shipley (Lee), Ft. Meyers, FL; a son, Brent Lee Hedin (Clayton), Roswell, GA; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Sue Martinson. A memorial service will be held Thursday afternoon February 11th at 2 o’clock in the Chapel of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Aiken with The Revs. Dr. Tim McClendon and Nancy Reed officiating. Inurnment will be Thursday afternoon, February 25th at 1 o’clock in the Columbarium at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, Dunwoody GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. John’s United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St., NW, Aiken, SC 29801.
