Kathryn A. Grice

AIKEN, SC – KATHRYN ARTHUR GRICE, 85, died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native and life-long resident of Aiken County, Kathryn was a daughter of the late Chester Oneal and Verna Wooten Arthur. She grew up in Warrenville and retired from Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site. She was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include four children, Russell George Grice, Steven A. Grice, Eddie J. Grice and Jill M. Atkinson (Charlie), daughter-in-law, Vivian Grice, all of Aiken; nine grandchildren, Duane R. Grice, Kate Hough, Matthew S. Grice, Casey A. Grice, Zak A. Grice, Samantha N. Grice, Amanda C. Stroup, Travis K. Deason, Justin Atkinson; fifteen great-grandchildren; five siblings, Theodore Arthur, Warrenville, Eleanor Harkins (Emmett), Warrenville, Don Arthur (Faye), Aiken, Fran Cote, St. James, MO and Tony Arthur, Graniteville. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Olin George Grice, a son, Charles Olin Grice and a brother, James O. Arthur. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday afternoon at 2:30 PM at the funeral home.
