Nancy Ann Waldrop

AIKEN, SC – NANCY ANN WALDROP, 60, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at her residence in Aiken, SC.      A native of Heidelberg, Germany, Nancy was a daughter of Ann Robinson Waldrop and the late COL Max L. Waldrop, USA, Ret.  She attended the University of Mississippi playing women’s volleyball and graduating with a Master’s degree in Education.  Nancy was a long-time resident of Columbus, GA, retiring from the Ft. Benning School System as a Physical Education teacher. She was an avid outdoors person and sports enthusiast.  Nancy lived in Aiken the last 10 years.      Survivors include her mother, Ann, of Aiken SC, a brother, Max Waldrop, Jr. (Sheila), Springfield, TN and a sister, Mary Waldrop, Aiken, SC.      No services are scheduled.      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Maintenance Fund for French Camp Academy, One Fine Place, French Camp, MS, 39745 (www.frenchcamp.org).
