Bettie Beck Rees

Bettie Beck Rees, age 74, of Aiken S.C., died Monday April 20 at Heartland Hospice House in Columbia S.C. She was born October 8, 1934 (in Aiken County) to the late Georgia and James Gilmore Beck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James G. Beck of Augusta, Ga, and a sister Evelyn Toole of New Ellenton, S.C. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Aiken S.C. She is survived by four children Renee Zarnowski of Anderson, S.C. Angela R. Byers (Charles H. Byers) of Sparta, N.C., Pamela R. Brantley of Aiken, S.C. and Robert A. Rees Jr of Aiken, S.C. She is also survived by one special granddaughter of the home Michelle Zarnowski and 5 other grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on 5-2-09 at 2:00 pm.
