AIKEN, SC – WILLIAM M. ROURK, 70, beloved husband of Kathryn Honeycutt Rourk, died Monday evening, February 29, 2016 at his residence. A native of Charleston, SC, William was a son of the late William Marion and Virgie Benton Rourk, Jr. He retired as Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam. After he retired from the Air Force William moved to Aiken and went to work at the Savannah River Site and retired as a shift supervisor. William loved his family, friends and life and enjoyed making people laugh. Surivors, in addition to his wife of 49 years, Kathryn, include a daughter, Belinda Daugherty, Aiken; four grandchildren, Brittany Rourk, Tyler Rourk, Randy Daugherty and Lily Daugherty; four siblings, Mary Huckabee, Patsy Yon and Phillip Michael Rourk (Carol) all of Charleston and Pamea Hamm (Bobby), Aiken. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 3rd from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be private.
