CHAPIN, SC – DR. JACK M. GINSBURG, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 18th at Sons of Israel Cemetery, Aiken, SC Professor Ginsburg is survived by his sister Dorothy, his children, Deborah, Robert and Gershon, five grandchildren, Adam, Jonathon, Andrew, Jordan and Noah. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Patty. Jack was born and raised in Philadelphia. He graduated from Tulane University, earning his PhD in Physiology. He served as a Captain for two years in the US Army and went on to teach medicine at the University of Rochester, The University of Lagos in Nigeria and finally as a professor for 26 years at the Medical College of Georgia. He was a man of varied interests and talents. He worked with the Augusta Opera for many years; however, his true passion was painting, drawing and printmaking, a theme that persisted throughout his life. He inspired those around him with integrity and honesty. Jack was a loving and generous father, grandfather and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him.
