Lisa Capers Sheetz

AUGUSTA, GA - Mrs. Lisa Capers Sheetz, 57, beloved wife of Stephen O. Sheetz, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at their home. Lisa was born March 3, 1959 in Augusta, Georgia to Frank Withers Capers, Jr and Martha Strickland Capers. Lisa graduated from Augusta Prep in 1977. She continued her studies at Augusta College where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She later transferred to Georgia Southern College and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Management Information Systems. She worked as a Systems Analyst with the Georgia Railroad Bank for 5 years until she retired as an operations officer to be an at-home-mom. She was an active member of the Junior League of Augusta. In addition to her husband of 29 years and parents, Lisa is survived by her two loving daughters; Katherine Capers Sheetz of Augusta, Lisa Bryson Sheetz of Charlotte, NC, sister; Sallie Capers Metzel (Al) of Augusta, brothers; Frank W. Capers III (Sharon) of Grayson, GA, Rutledge M. Capers (Shari) of Memphis, TN. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm at Church of the Good Shepherd, 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904 on Monday, March 28 with the Reverend Robert Fain officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in the Church parish hall.
