Juanita Barbour Strain

AIKEN, SC – JUANITA BARBOUR STRAIN, 88, beloved wife of Coe P. Strain, died Wednesday, May 06, 2009 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center in Aiken, SC. A native of Durham, NC, Mrs. Strain was a daughter of the late Z. O. and Callie Davie Barbour. She lived her entire life in Durham before moving to Aiken 7 years ago. She was a retired underwriter with Home Security Life Insurance Co. in Durham for 44 years. She was a former member of Park View Baptist Church in Durham for 48 years, and was currently a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Aiken. Survivors include her husband Coe, a son, Chuck (Shellie) Strain, Aiken, two grandsons, Jake Peacock, Jacksonville, FL and Drew Peacock, Mobile, AL. She was preceded in death by a grandson, John Peacock. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Durham, NC. The family will receive friends at the mausoleum beginning at 1 PM prior to the service.
