Dr. Ingrid Charlotte Kupprat

AIKEN, SC – INGRID KUPPRAT, Ph.D., 75, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Augusta University Medical Center after a lengthy illness. A native of New York City, Ingrid was a daughter of the late John and Helen Skatikat Kupprat. She graduated from Gettysburg College (B.S.), Temple University (M.S.) and University of Illinois (M.S. & Ph.D.). Dr. Kupprat was involved with education and medical research during her lifetime. She retired in 2006 as an elementary school physical education teacher with the Aiken County School District. During her tenure at Aiken, she became involved as a member and later as an officer with the South Carolina Teachers Association with a strong belief in improving public education. She is survived by her brother, Werner and his wife, Marie, Sandra (niece), Paul (nephew) and his wife Donna, Joseph (grand-nephew) and Jessica (grand-niece) Kupprat. Services will be Friday afternoon, April 22nd at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
