Ruby Moseley Corley

AIKEN, SC – RUBY MOSELEY CORLEY, 82, beloved wife of Wayman B. Corley, Sr., entered into rest Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native and lifelong resident of Aiken, Mrs. Corley was a daughter of the late Edward and Pearl Yaun Moseley. She worked at Graniteville Company during the 1940’s and 50’s where she met her husband. She was a lifelong member of Levels Baptist Church, where she was very active teaching Sunday School for over 50 years, serving as Training Union Director, and serving on the hostess committee. She was also a member of the WMU, church choir and the Louise Taylor Sunday School Class. Survivors, in addition to her husband Wayman, with whom she was married for 62 years, include two daughters, Nancy Ann Corley (Larry) Bodie of Williston, SC and Susan Corley (Jeffery) Jones of Aiken, a son, Wayman B. (Tabatha) Corley, Jr. of Aiken and four grandchildren, Alaina Bodie, Jessica Bodie, Jennifer Jones and Matthew Jones. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Bodie. Funeral services will be held Friday at 4:00 PM at Levels Baptist Church, with The Rev., Larry Scales officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the church.
