Geri Moats Welch

AIKEN, SC – GERI MOATS WELCH, 57, beloved wife of Michael B. Welch, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Doctor’s Hospital, Augusta, GA. A native of Marseilles, IL, Geri was a daughter of Gerald W. Moats and the late Shirley Lardi Moats. She lived in Aiken for the last 30 years and was a Senior RadCon Inspector with SRNS at the Savannah River Site. Survivors, in addition to her husband Mike; are her father, Gerald of Aiken; two sons, Gene Moore (Eryn), New Ellenton, Hunter Moore, Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Ayyden, Kale and Pierce Moore; three sisters, Jana Scarber (Tommy), Paducah, KY, Julie Hart (Derrell), Marseilles, IL and Ann Hileman (Tony), Moline, IL. In addition to her mother, Geri was preceded in death by her brother, Tracy Gene Moats. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, May 5th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. A memorial service will be Friday morning, May 6th at 11 o’clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Dr. Henry L. Chennault officiating.
