Dale Clark Copley

NEW ELLENTON – Mr. Dale Clark Copley, 53, died May 20, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Am Friday at First Baptist Church. Reverend Dr. Fred Andrea III will officiate. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Mr. Copley was a lifelong resident of Aiken County and worked as a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service and was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association. He was a professional photographer and ran Photocraft Camera Company. He was an avid fisherman and loved to raise horses on his ranch. Survivors include his beloved wife, Lyall Matheson Morris Copley; two daughters, Mary Lacy Copley and Patricia Allison Copley, Aiken; a son, John Seigler Copley, Aiken; his parents, Gerald Lacy and Patricia Seigler Copley, Aiken; six grandchildren, John Copley, Jr., Isaac Copley, Luke Copley, Chylie Copley, Christa Copley and Cadence Copley; three sisters, Nancy M. (Jim) Newton, Aiken, Brenda L. (Mike) Wright, BellaVista, AR, Peggy John (Wayne Bayles) Copley, Beaufort, SC; sister in law, Evelyn P. Morris. His daughter, Catherine Lyall Copley, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to American Heart Association, 1003 Hammond Road, Aiken, SC 29803.
